composition

Rule of Thirds:  In this picture the subject isn't actually on the side, but her eyes and nose fall on the lines of the grid.

Balance: I think that the black and white really balance each other out, even though they are opposites.

Framing:  I like how there is are darker frame from the branches on the outside.  It really makes the sun reflection pop.

Harmony: I like how the red in her hair and the red on her lips really pop out.

Leading lines:  The lines from the strings lead right to the bridge, which is the focal point

mergers: I like how there is a lot going on, but it is just one  small sheet of show, without interruptions.

Perspective: The green and orange are in focus, and then is slowly gets more blurry as the picture continues.

Repetition:  The pattern of the keys on the piano.

Emphasis: The emphasis is on her red lipstick.

  1. You utilize balance, framing and simplicity really nicely in these strong photos. I am love the rhythm that exists in the perspective candy shop image. These images are really good examples of each of the rules of composition.
